Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geoffrey King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King comes to the cage accompanied by King of my Castle by Wamdue Project. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Geoffrey King!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steve Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Rogers misses.
Rogers scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. King doesn't seem bothered though.
King tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
King connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rogers momentarily.
King throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
King tries to land a front kick but Rogers steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
King staying out of range there.
King stuns Rogers with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Rogers tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but King was well out of range. Poor timing from Rogers.
Geoffrey King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King lands a nice shot that snaps Rogers's head back.
King throws an overhand right that lands on Rogers's shoulder, as Rogers tries to avoid the shot.
Rogers shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Rogers wants to clinch up but King keeps it at a distance.
Donk. King catches Rogers right on the button with a cross.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rogers uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from King.
King throws a hook but Rogers blocks it.
King misses with a straight left.
King misses with a double jab
and Rogers counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A combination from King does no damage.
Rogers tries to clinch but King moves out of range.
King connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rogers's hands.
Rogers tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
King misses the body punch
and Rogers counters with a straight right hand.
King lands a jab to the nose.
Rogers connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Rogers rushes King and presses him up against the cage.
Rogers misses with a hook from the clinch.
King looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

King breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A right-left combo lands from King.
Rogers misses with a body shot.
A slapping leg kick lands for King.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rogers moves in looking to clinch but King pushes him off.
Rogers thows a body shot but no joy.
A slow jab from King misses its intended target.
King throws a body punch but Rogers moves out of range.
King throws a sloppy body shot

and Rogers counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rogers.
Rogers misses with the head strike.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

King manages to break the clinch.
King misses with a body shot
and Rogers counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Rogers moves into the clinch.
Rogers has King pressed against the cage, preventing King from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Rogers misses with a punch on the inside.
Rogers fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Rogers working aggressively here.
Rogers throws a head punch that misses.
Rogers struggles to land a body shot inside as King controls his hands.
Rogers throws a punch but it's blocked by King.

King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
King looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Rogers keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
King looking to land some kicks to the body here.
King lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rogers at a distance.
Rogers looks gassed!
King fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rogers manages to avoid it.
King fails to land with a series of punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nice shot by King.
Rogers fails in his attempt to clinch.
King scores with a nice right hand.
Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch up but King swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A punch combination from King misses.
King ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rogers moves away.
King lands a jab to the head.
Rogers checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
King lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
King throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rogers throws a body punch but King moves out of range.
King keeps the fight on the outside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Geoffrey King dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A jab from King misses.
King misses with a body kick.
Rogers ducks under a wild hook from King.
Rogers takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
King throws a sloppy body shot
and Rogers counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Both fighters circling a little - King finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Rogers on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
King scores with a punch to the head.
King fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A swing and a miss from King.
Rogers tries to move into range but King moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.


Rogers is rocked!
Rogers is breathing heavily.
Rogers drops his hands momentarily. King doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Rogers staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Rogers doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Geoffrey King!
Geoffrey King retains his light heavyweight title!
