Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slava Zhigulin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and benji ahr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). benji ahr looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhigulin moves in looking to clinch but ahr pushes him off.

ahr clinches.
ahr keeps control of Zhigulin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
ahr tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Zhigulin just stands there and leans against the cage.
ahr misses with a short punch on the inside.
ahr is working for takedown but Zhigulin is calmly controlling the position for now.
ahr is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Slava Zhigulin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of benji ahr.

ahr moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Zhigulin has worked his arm free - good work by Zhigulin!
Zhigulin is pushing ahr's head away, looking to escape. ahr manages to hold on to the position though.

The strikes coming from ahr are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
ahr trying to control the action but Zhigulin is working from the bottom.
Zhigulin tries to buck ahr off but ahr is having none of it.
Zhigulin gets back to half guard.
Zhigulin is staying active underneath ahr, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
ahr throwing shots but Zhigulin is blocking nicely.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Zhigulin tries to clinch but fails miserably

and ahr counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
ahr jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Zhigulin walks away with a smile on his face. ahr gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Zhigulin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
ahr shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Zhigulin defends it nicely.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Zhigulin is trying hard to land a takedown here. ahr sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

A close second round but benji ahr will probably get the nod - 10:9.

ahr shoots in and bounces Zhigulin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

ahr is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Zhigulin has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. ahr is looking to defend but Zhigulin has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for ahr! Zhigulin pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, ahr taps out and this one is all over!
