The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West slips under a jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from West.
West shoots in and drives through. Penn sprawls well.
West moves away from the strike by Penn.
West fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Forrest Penn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wally West.
Penn throws a jab but it's blocked by West.
Penn throws a nice looking combination but West bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

West fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
West blocks the body kick.

Horrible takedown by West or perhaps it was just good defense by Penn which made him look bad.
West shoots in but Penn avoids the takedown attempt easily.
West shoots in for a double leg but Penn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Wally West seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
West slips under a jab from Penn.
West avoids the body shot from Penn.
Penn cracks West with a good jab.
Penn lands a slapping body shot.
West looks gassed!

Penn lands a left and a right that send West crashing to the mat, dazed. Penn thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Wally West has been cut.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Penn lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. West is looking to close the distance but Penn sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! West crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope West is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
