Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Render (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonard Rockstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rockstein has chosen I'm just a Rock 'n' Roll Clown - Dr Rockzo as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Matthew Render has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockstein stuffs the takedown attempt from Render. Render gets slowly back to his feet.

Render shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rockstein's guard.
Render won't allow Rockstein to get back to his feet.

It looks like Leonard Rockstein has been cut.
Render postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Rockstein wants to stand up but Render is controlling him.

Render gets to his feet - Rockstein follows without any prompting.
Render dives in and grabs Rockstein's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rockstein pushes down on Render's head and hops out.

Render drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rockstein wants to stand up but Render is controlling him.

Render distracts Rockstein with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Render accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Render tries to free his leg and advance position but Rockstein is retaining full guard.

Render has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Horrible takedown by Render or perhaps it was just good defense by Rockstein which made him look bad.
Render shoots in for a double leg but Rockstein sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Render shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rockstein but Rockstein pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Render shoots in looking for a takedown. Rockstein tries to sprawl out of it but Render keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rockstein manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rockstein lands a jab to the nose.
The fight stays on the outside here - Render looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Render shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rockstein defends it nicely.

Render fails to land the takedown.
Render will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rockstein fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Render avoids it really well and circles away.

and Rockstein makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Render really felt that one!
Rockstein lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Render with a poor takedown
and Rockstein makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rockstein lunges at Render with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Render's hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
and Rockstein counters with a leg kick.

Render closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Leonard Rockstein will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Render throws a shot from downtown. Rockstein moves away and avoids it.

and Rockstein counters with a huge left! Render is in big trouble! He's backing up but Rockstein isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Render from any more damage. A dominating finish by Rockstein!
