The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Freeman tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Freeman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from Freeman. No joy for Jones on that attempt.
No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt.
Gordon Freeman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonny Jones.
Jones misses the shot to the body.
Freeman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Freeman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Freeman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.
Jones fails with the takedown

and Freeman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jones won't be happy with that.
Jones looks gassed!

Freeman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jones knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Freeman goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Jones rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Freeman's guard! Nice work there by Jones!

Jones throws a sloppy strike and Freeman has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Jones is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Freeman!
