The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

McCarthy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

McCarthy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Muffle swats him away and circles back towards the center.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McCarthy wants to control the pace but Muffle is squirming around nicely.
McCarthy is looking to stand but McCarthy has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

Muffle scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

McCarthy drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Muffle tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
McCarthy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Muffle is looking to escape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

McCarthy jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Muffle is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Muffle and McCarthy has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
McCarthy is looking to take a break and control but Muffle is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

McCarthy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Muffle knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jake McCarthy will probably get the nod.
