The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stajerski shoots in looking for a takedown. Diaz tries to sprawl out of it but Stajerski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Diaz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Diaz tries a head kick but it misses.
Stajerski fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Stajerski tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Diaz swivels and escapes.
Angel Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zarn Stajerski.
The fight stays on the outside here - Diaz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Diaz looks for the body kick but Stajerski saw that one coming.
Diaz stuffs the takedown attempt from Stajerski. Stajerski gets slowly back to his feet.

Stajerski drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Diaz gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Stajerski is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Diaz can't fight it off and eventually Stajerski manages to take the fight to the floor. Diaz looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Stajerski seems to be looking for submissions.
Stajerski seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Diaz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Stajerski lands a nice short elbow.
