The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Franklyn Lucas and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vernon shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Vernon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jones manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Vernon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vernon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Vernon has control of Jones's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jones regains control of the situation pretty easily.
