Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jordan Peters!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Peters gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Johnson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Peters wants to stand but Johnson is controlling the position.
Johnson wants to pass the guard but Peters is keeping the position.

Peters pushes Johnson off and scrambles back to his feet.

Peters buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Johnson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Peters to his feet.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Peters.

Peters gets to his feet - Johnson follows without any prompting.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that James Johnson will probably get the nod.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Johnson stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Johnson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Peters looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
