The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kane pushes Soullezzi off looking to stand but Soullezzi dives back in and keeps control.
Soullezzi wants to control but Kane is keeping him busy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kane looking to hit a scissor sweep but Soullezzi is one step ahead there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
