Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dante Fertit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MissingLink GiantSilva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fertit comes to the cage accompanied by Roots Bloody Roots. GiantSilva has chosen where da link be foo? as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fertit fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
GiantSilva swings and misses with a hook to the body.
GiantSilva tries to clinch up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
GiantSilva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fertit to score with a decent uppercut.

Fertit shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts GiantSilva as he jumps to the side.
GiantSilva misses with the combination.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fertit slips a jab and a cross from GiantSilva.

GiantSilva gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fertit looking to pass the guard.
Fertit works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Fertit wants to take a breather but GiantSilva is having none of it.
Fertit thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Fertit is looking for a kimura here.

Fertit is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from GiantSilva as he works his way to full guard.

GiantSilva leaves Fertit with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

MissingLink GiantSilva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Fertit decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in GiantSilva's guard.

Fertit postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! GiantSilva is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fertit, into his guard.
