The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lilke gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Fox.
Lilke uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fox.
Fox connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lilke. Lilke circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

It looks like Buddy Lilke has been cut.
Fox misses with a two punch combination.
Lilke lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Fox scores with a jab.
Lilke closes the distance and clinches up with Fox, looking for a takedown. Lilke pushes Fox against the cage but Fox circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nice defenses there by Lilke.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lilke looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Lilke wants to clinch.
Fox works over Lilke's head and body with a nice combination.
Fox lands with a nice body punch.
Fox dips to his left and cracks Lilke with an uppercut!
Lilke throws a head kick but Fox moves out of range.
Lilke tries for a takedown but Fox sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Fox scores with a decent looking hook.
Fox scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lilke looks gassed!

Fox drops Lilke with a right and a left! Fox comes rushing in but Lilke regains his composure and manages to keep Fox in guard.

That has opened up Buddy Lilke's cut even more.

Fox pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lilke is keeping the position for now.
Lilke is still in real trouble! Can Fox finish him?
Fox controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Lilke seems to have recovered his senses.
Fox postures up in Lilke's guard and throws a big left but Lilke blocks it.
Fox looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Fox wants to stand but Lilke has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lilke trying to control the position.
Fox throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Lilke looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fox is one step ahead there.

Fox wants to pass the guard but Lilke is keeping the position.
Fox sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lilke's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lilke tries to kick Fox off but Fox keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Fox is looking to advance position but Lilke won't allow it.
Lilke gets full guard.

Lilke manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Lilke throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fox's waist but Fox gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lilke off to one side.
Sam Fox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buddy Lilke.
Fox swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lilke on the wrong end of a nice hook.
A jab from Fox does it's job there.
Fox lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

The cut above Buddy Lilke's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Fox is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lilke.
Fox goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters circling - Lilke throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Fox ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Sam Fox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A jab lands there for Fox.
Lilke takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Buddy Lilke's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Fox uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lilke has time to react.
Fox sizes up Lilke with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Buddy Lilke's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
