PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cliche Guevara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Notorious BIG (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BIG takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
BIG ducks under a wild hook from Guevara.
BIG throws a series of punches but Guevara avoids them all with ease.
Guevara jabs at BIG's body.
Guevara punishes BIG's body with a nice straight punch.

BIG shoots in and bounces Guevara off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

BIG thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Guevara is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
BIG wanted to stand there but Guevara had control of the position.
BIG postures up in Guevara's guard and throws a big left but Guevara blocks it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
BIG looks to land a left hand but Guevara moved out of range nicely.
Guevara lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but BIG circles away quickly and effectively.
Guevara comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A jab from Guevara finds it's way through BIG's defenses.
BIG takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

BIG is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Guevara's half guard.

BIG drops back, looking for a kneebar! Guevara looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Guevara looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Guevara!

BIG is not content to let Guevara control the position.

Guevara has worked his way into a potential kimura here. BIG is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Guevara yanks on the arm and BIG is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Guevara.
