Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Sierra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Kain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robert Kain is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sierra closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sierra lands in his opponent's guard.
Sierra is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Sierra wants to control from the top but Kain keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sierra accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kain has a closed guard, preventing Sierra from standing up.
Kain preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Sierra is working Kain over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Sierra postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sierra shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Sierra takes a jab right on the kisser.
Sierra fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kain avoids it really well and circles away.

Kain lands a big right hand that sends Sierra crashing to the mat! Kain stays standing though and waves Sierra back to his feet!

Sierra is rocked!

It looks like Frank Sierra has been cut.
Kain slaps away a takedown attempt from Sierra, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Sierra. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sierra is breathing heavily.
Sierra shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kain sprawls well. Kain wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sierra gets slowly back to his feet.

Kain misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Horrible takedown by Sierra or perhaps it was just good defense by Kain which made him look bad.
Frank Sierra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kain stuffs the takedown.
Kain wants to clinch up but Sierra keeps it at a distance.
Sierra shoots in but Kain avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sierra loses concentration momentarily and Kain pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Sierra crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Kain finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
