The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dijieo throws out a powerful jab.
Valasquez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Valasquez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dijieo to score with a decent uppercut.
Valasquez misses with a double jab.
Valasquez slips a jab from Dijieo.
Valasquez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Valasquez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Dijieo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Valasquez counters with a series of strikes. Dijieo will be more careful next time no doubt.

Dijieo misses with a hook. Valasquez ducked under it nicely.
Dijieo works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Valasquez's corner calls for a 1-2. Valasquez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Dijieo looks to throw the jab but Valasquez is out of range.

Valasquez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dijieo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Valasquez was well out of range. Poor timing from Dijieo.
Petru Dijieo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Valasquez closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Dijieo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Valasquez throws a hook to the side of Dijieo's head but Dijieo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Dijieo lands a left and a right that send Valasquez crashing to the mat, dazed. Dijieo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Dijieo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Valasquez.
Dijieo tries a low kick but Valasquez avoids it.
Valasquez misses with a series of wild punches.
Valasquez looks gassed!
Valasquez lands with an uppercut that bounces Dijieo off the cage and back into rage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dijieo throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Dijieo scores with a sloppy right hand. Valasquez should have avoided that one.
Dijieo throws a body punch but Valasquez moves out of range.
Dijieo lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Valasquez is rocked!
No joy there for Dijieo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Valasquez takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Valasquez is still on wobbly legs! Can Dijieo finish him?
Dijieo is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Valasquez hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
