Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diabolis moves in looking to clinch but Ive pushes him off.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Diabolis.
Diabolis tries to clinch up but Ive circles away and keeps his distance.
Ive misses with a few strikes there.
Horrible takedown by Diabolis or perhaps it was just good defense by Ive which made him look bad.
Diabolis is breathing heavily.
Diabolis swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ive counters with an outside leg kick.
Ive clobbers Diabolis with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A nice leg kick lands there from Ive.

Good leg kick by Ive there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ive misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ive tries to bum rush Diabolis with a series of wild strikes but Diabolis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ive throws a right and a left that Diabolis avoids nicely.

Ive has taken the fight to the clinch.
Diabolis can't break the clinch.

Ive has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Diabolis uses from the top position.

Diabolis is trying to break the clinch but Ive has him pressed against the cage.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Diabolis crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ive - the referee stops the clock and Diabolis gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ive. Diabolis manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Diabolis counters with a left and a right that stings Ive.
Diabolis's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Diabolis duly obliges.

and Ive counters with a single leg into guard. Diabolis didn't expect that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ive seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ive wants to pass the guard but Diabolis is keeping the position.
Ive trying to stand up but can't free himself from Diabolis's guard.
Diabolis is trying to keep Ive in close.
Ive trying to control the position from guard on top but Diabolis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Ive stands up out of the half guard.
Diabolis throws a series of punches but Ive avoids them all with ease.

Diabolis tries to clinch but Ive moves away
and Ive counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Diabolis shoots in and drives through. Ive sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rex Diabolis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ive moves into the clinch successfully.
Ive is pressed up against the cage. Diabolis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ive down to the mat. Ive avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Ive plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Diabolis looks to land a combination. Ive sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ive misses with a low kick as Diabolis jumps back.
Diabolis lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Ive is looking to close the distance but Diabolis sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Ive crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Ive is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
