The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wray takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Mortis avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wray works over Mortis's head and body with a nice combination.
Wray finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Wray takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Mortis drops Wray with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Wray looks back up at him and smiles so Mortis waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like El Wray has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wray keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kyle Mortis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mortis avoids a punch combination nicely.

Mortis cracks Wray with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Mortis has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Wray to stand back up!

Wray is rocked!
Mortis shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Mortis takes a swing at Wray's ribcage but misses.
Mortis dodges the punch combination from Wray.
Wray blocks a jab.
Wray looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mortis lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Wray looks gassed!
Mortis throws a shot from downtown. Wray moves away and avoids it.
Wray tries to bum rush Mortis with a series of wild strikes but Mortis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Mortis has taken the fight to the clinch.

Mortis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wray blocks the body kick.

Mortis lands a big right hand that sends Wray crashing to the mat! Mortis stays standing though and waves Wray back to his feet!
Wray takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mortis connects with a superb combination that knocks Wray out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Mortis before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Wray!
