The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larouche defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Swift.
Swift just misses with a punch to the body.
Swift swings for the body but Larouche moves out of range.
Larouche goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Larouche pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Larouche is looking to score with low kicks.
Swift shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Larouche sprawls well. Larouche wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Swift gets slowly back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Swift is pushing down on Larouche's leg trying to pass to half guard. Larouche is fighting to maintain full guard but Swift has managed to sneak the leg through.

Swift stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Larouche swivels though and keeps the full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Larouche is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Swift slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Larouche is landing with some decent strikes but Swift is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Larouche throws some wild stikes that Swift manages to avoid easily.
Swift tries to hold on but Larouche pushes him away.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Elton Larouche.
