Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Shadows (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and iLike Turtles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Turtles has managed to clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Turtles.
A left hand lands to the body for Turtles.
Turtles is trying to drag Shadows to the mat but Shadows just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
The referee is keeping an eye on Turtles - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Turtles misses with a body punch.

Shadows has Turtles pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Turtles manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Turtles throws a jab when Shadows was well out of range.
Shadows darts in trying to clinch

and Turtles counters by clinching up.
Turtles lands a damaging elbow.
Turtles blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Turtles struggles to land a body shot inside as Shadows controls his hands.
A frustrated look appears on Shadows's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Turtles throws a punch but it's blocked by Shadows.
A bit of stalling here from Turtles.
Shadows has had enough of the clinch but Turtles keeps him there for the moment.
Turtles lands a shoulder strike.
Turtles works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Turtles fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Shadows tries to pull guard but Turtles won't allow it.

Turtles tries to land a knee to the head but Shadows blocks with his arms.

Turtles goes for a takedown attempt but Shadows pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Shadows misses with a takedown attempt - Turtles sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Shadows. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shadows clinches but Turtles breaks the clinch

and Turtles counters with a shoot takedown. Shadows fights it but they end up in guard.
Shadows will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Turtles wants to control from the top but Shadows keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Turtles accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Turtles lands a couple of digs.

Turtles slips nicely into half guard.
Shadows regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Turtles.
Turtles throws a big right hand that misses.
Turtles stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shadows swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Shadows looks to clinch
and Turtles counters with a right hand to the body.
Shadows changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Turtles tries to avoid it but Shadows manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Turtles to the ground. Turtles escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Turtles misses the shot to the body.
Turtles lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Shadows - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Turtles!
