Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Doug Tuna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Rozello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tuna comes to the cage accompanied by Sharky + George. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Doug Tuna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Rozello!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rozello tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tuna swivels and escapes.

Tuna darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Rozello makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Rozello is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Tuna is looking to improve his position.
Rozello seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tuna covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Tuna breaks Rozello's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Tuna postures up and lands a big shot to Rozello's brow.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Rozello shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Tuna counters with a shoot takedown. Rozello fights it but they end up in guard.

Tuna cracks Rozello with a solid left hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tuna is in close to Rozello's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Tuna distracts Rozello with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Tuna is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Rozello looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Tuna is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Tuna has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Rozello has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tuna can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rozello had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tuna defends it easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tuna keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rozello's head.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Rozello doesn't succeed with the takedown

Tuna seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Tuna looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rozello with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Rozello kicks Tuna off and gets back to his feet.

Tuna looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Tuna works his foot free and advances to mount.
Tuna is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rozello can do to turn this around?

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Tuna cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tuna unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Rozello wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Tuna celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
