Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Higgins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that John Higgins was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Higgins forces Mir back against the cage and clinches.
Higgins leaning against his opponent.
Higgins receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Higgins creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Dan Mir has been cut.
Higgins lands a body shot in the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Higgins manages to break the clinch.
Mir could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Higgins forces his way into half guard.

Mir is refusing to be controlled, as Higgins sits in half guard.
