Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gold Member (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Covalent Minibar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Covalent Minibar is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Member throws a head kick that misses.
Minibar avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Member drops his shoulder and cracks Minibar with a huge uppercut! Minibar goes down! Can Member finish him?
Minibar is rocked!
It looks like Covalent Minibar has been cut.
Minibar is looking to stand back up but Member counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Minibar.
Minibar is still in real trouble! Can Member finish him?
Member is controlling the pace.
Minibar wants to control but Member is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Minibar seems to have recovered his senses.

Member throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Minibar stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Member follows into mount!

Member has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Member's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Gold Member just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

and Minibar counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Member is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Gold Member has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Covalent Minibar.

Member lands with a nice body punch.

Member throws a nice looking combination but Minibar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gold Member seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Member lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Minibar lands with a kick to the temple. Member shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

and Minibar counters with a series of strikes. Member will be more careful next time no doubt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Covalent Minibar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
