Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Banana Joe!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ross instigates a clinch.
Ross prevents a takedown attempt there.

Ross drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Joe wants to pass the guard but Ross is keeping the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Ross throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Joe is pushing down on Ross's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ross is fighting to maintain full guard but Joe has managed to sneak the leg through.

Ross has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Joe takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Ross is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Joe's shoulder. That is not cool.
Joe wants to control but Ross postures up.
Joe gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Joe can't escape the position.

Joe is in a horrible position here. Ross smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ross cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Ross closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Joe tries to roll over but Ross keeps him under control.
Joe is trying to stand.
Ross takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Joe avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ross.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ross lands a nice short elbow.

Joe is refusing to be controlled, as Ross sits in half guard.
Joe wants to get back to his feet.
Ross looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Joe with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Ross thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Joe's head.
Joe makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Joe.
Ross postures up.
Ross is in close to Joe's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Joe has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ross can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Joe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ross manages to get himself to full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ross is on top in guard.

Joe controls Ross momentarily but Ross frees himself.

Ross throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Joe works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ross is looking to work some ground and pound but Joe has wrist control.
Joe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Joe scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Joe is keen to just control but Ross is a slippery customer.
Joe slips a nice elbow through Ross's hands, connecting with Ross's forehead.
Ross keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Joe is looking to take a break and control but Ross is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ross misses with an attempted mid kick.
Joe tries a head kick but it misses.
Ross stuffs the takedown attempt from Joe. Joe gets slowly back to his feet.

Ross looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Joe!

Joe bucks Ross off and manages to get back to his feet!
Whack! Joe lands a heavy head kick that drops Ross. The ref tackles Joe to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Ross was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Banana Joe!
