The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Mousasi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Wiggs tries to keep at a distance but Mousasi has taken the fight into the clinch.
Wiggs lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Mousasi wants to break the clinch but can't.

Wiggs throws a leg kick but Mousasi sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Wiggs lands with a straight right. Mousasi didn't see that one coming.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mousasi dives in and grabs Wiggs's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wiggs pushes down on Mousasi's head and hops out.
John Wiggs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Claude Mousasi.
Wiggs fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Wiggs is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Wiggs's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Wiggs stands up over Mousasi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Wiggs works over Mousasi with some ground and pound from guard.
Wiggs passes Mousasi's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Wiggs moves into full mount! Mousasi won't be happy about that!

Mousasi is in a horrible position here. Wiggs smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Wiggs has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wiggs has control of Mousasi's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mousasi regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Wiggs cracks Mousasi with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Wiggs scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Wiggs is landing with some decent strikes but Mousasi is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A nice elbow there by Wiggs.
Wiggs breaks from Mousasi's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Wiggs looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Mousasi is bucking up trying to escape but Wiggs cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Wiggs is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mousasi can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Mousasi wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wiggs wants to control the pace but Mousasi is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Wiggs dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Nice uppercut lands for Wiggs. That snapped Mousasi's head back.

Wiggs lands a jab-cross combination.
Mousasi takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Nice combo by Wiggs! Oh, that's hurt him - Mousasi falls to the canvas and Wiggs follows him into side control.

Wiggs is working to tighten is grip on Mousasi's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Mousasi has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Wiggs is really squeezing tight and eventually Mousasi passes out! Wiggs breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
