Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samuel Sawyer!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez ducks under a wild hook from Sawyer.
Sanchez misses with a few strikes there.
Sawyer thows a body shot but no joy.
Nice takedown defense from Sawyer. No joy for Sanchez on that attempt.
Sanchez slips under a jab.
Sawyer fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sanchez on the side of the head.
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sawyer but Sawyer pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sawyer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sanchez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sanchez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Sanchez moves into the clinch.
Sanchez dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Sanchez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sawyer misses with a hook. Sanchez ducked under it nicely.
Sawyer misses with a wild body shot.

Sawyer waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sanchez.
Sanchez ducks right into an uppercut from Sawyer.

Sanchez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sawyer was covering up waiting for the punch and Sanchez finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Sawyer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sanchez wants to pass the guard but Sawyer is keeping the position.
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Sawyer keeps moving.

Sanchez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sawyer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sanchez has Sawyer in his guard.
Sawyer works over Sanchez with some ground and pound from guard.
Sawyer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Sawyer thows a big elbow that misses.
Sanchez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sawyer is controlling him.
Sawyer lands a couple of elbows.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Sawyer postures up.

Sawyer is trying to land a reversal but Sanchez doesn't like that idea too much. He pushed the legs to the side and dives into side control. He's managed to grab a loose arm triangle. Sanchez is tightening it up though! This could be trouble for Sawyer! Sawyer trying desperately to escape but he's gone limp! He's out! Wooooorld class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from Sanchez!
