Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randall Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Louis Caputo!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson misses with a wild body shot.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Caputo's head.
Caputo tries to roll over but Johnson keeps him under control.

Johnson is trying to work for a kimura but Caputo is defending well.

Johnson working over Caputo with some ground and pound. Caputo looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.


It looks like Louis Caputo has been cut.

Johnson is trying to work for a kimura but Caputo is defending well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Caputo can do anything to dispel that myth.

Johnson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Johnson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Caputo is trying to maintain the position but Johnson is very close to passing his half guard.

Caputo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Johnson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Caputo prevents it.
Caputo jumps guard but Johnson stands there with Caputo around his waist. Caputo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Caputo is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Johnson can't fight it off and eventually Caputo manages to take the fight to the floor. Johnson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Johnson pushes a forearm under Caputo's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Caputo is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
