Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zeak Rummind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Myres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rummind comes to the cage accompanied by Flaw - Get Up Again . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Myres!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rummind misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Myres checks a leg kick.
Rummind tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rummind misses with a wild combination.
Myres takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rummind.
Rummind scores with a nice head shot.


It looks like James Myres has been cut.
Rummind throws a series of punches but Myres moves out of range.
Myres takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A slapping leg kick lands for Rummind.
A slow jab from Rummind misses its intended target.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Rummind. Myres shrugs it off though.

A combination from Rummind does no damage.
Rummind misses with an attempted mid kick.
Rummind is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Myres.
No joy there for Rummind, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Myres shoots in for a takedown but Rummind shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rummind dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Myres. That did some damage!
Myres looks gassed!

Rummind lands a big head kick that sends Myres tumbling to the mat! Rummind takes a step backwards and waves Myres back to his feet - he wants the finish!
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Myres counters with a single leg into guard. Rummind didn't expect that.

Rummind wants to sweep here but Myres controlling him for the moment.
Rummind manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Myres manages to get himself to full guard.
Myres pulls Rummind in to control the position.

Rummind tries to move into full mount but can't pass Myres's legs.

Rummind is looking to take a break and control but Myres is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rummind creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Myres sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Myres takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
You can see the frustration on Myres's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Myres fails to land the takedown.
Rummind lands a nice leg kick that just misses Myres's sensitive parts.

Myres dives in and grabs Rummind's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rummind pushes down on Myres's head and hops out.

Myres tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rummind sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Myres somewhat.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Rummind. Myres shrugs it off though.
Rummind will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rummind tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Myres paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rummind stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rummind wants it to stay on the feet.
Myres avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Rummind looks to land a combination but Myres avoids it well.

Rummind shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Myres napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Myres has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rummind is working away from the top position though.
Rummind is pressing down on Myres's thigh, looking to free his foot. Myres is holding on for now.
Myres avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rummind.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rummind is trying hard to land a takedown here. Myres sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rummind fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Myres manages to avoid it.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Myres throws a right hand that Rummind ducks under and follows up with a left that Rummind also avoids with ease.

Rummind displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Myres.
Zeak Rummind has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Myres.
Myres takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rummind looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Rummind throws a leg kick but Myres sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Rummind connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Rummind throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Myres takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


That has opened up James Myres's cut even more.
Myres on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rummind. Rummind obviously looking to wear him down.

Rummind gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Myres to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Rummind is pulling down on Myres's head. It's preventing any offense from Myres, at least for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rummind is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rummind trying to control the position from guard on top but Myres is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Myres working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rummind doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rummind manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rummind drops back looking for a leg! Myres is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Myres manages to kick Rummind off! Rummind jumps back into Myres's guard.

Myres utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Rummind thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Myres seems keen to control Rummind's posture.

Myres has his feet on Rummind's thighs here. He's pushed Rummind off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Rummind screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
