Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Jonsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Birk Smygare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smygare shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jonsson pinned against the cage. Jonsson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jonsson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Smygare is trying to defend but Jonsson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Jonsson is working for a kimura but Smygare is defending it quite comfortably.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Smygare lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jonsson circles away quickly and effectively.
Jonsson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jonsson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Smygare tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Jonsson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Smygare has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Smygare!

That was a close second round but I would say that Andreas Jonsson will probably get the nod.

Smygare has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Jonsson is trying to stick to Smygare's back but Smygare is turning into Jonsson. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Jonsson's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Smygare.
