Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shinji Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xrok Jui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva's entrance music is Blood And Thunder - Mastodon. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jui fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Silva throws out a powerful jab.
Jui fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silva avoids it really well and circles away.
Jui shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Shinji Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xrok Jui.
Silva scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Silva leaves Jui with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Silva tries to bum rush Jui with a series of wild strikes but Jui uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jui shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily.

Silva drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jui pulls his leg out and moves away.
Silva throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Silva. Jui shrugs it off though.

Silva scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Jui is refusing to be controlled, as Silva sits in half guard.
Jui won't allow Silva to pass to mount.
Silva is taking a breather. Jui says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Jui is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva wants to take a breather but Jui is having none of it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jui on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Silva drives through and clinches with Jui against the cage.

Silva lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jui backwards.

and Silva counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jui thinking.
A decent looking cross lands there for Silva.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jui blocks a head kick by Silva.
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.
Silva lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jui pushes Silva off looking to stand but Silva dives back in and keeps control.
Silva is trying to control the action in half guard but Jui is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Jui kicks off Silva and gets to his feet.

Silva wants to control but Jui is keeping him busy.
