Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gachik Kachikian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mauro Ziccardo!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ziccardo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ziccardo showed some decent athleticism there.
Ziccardo stops Kachikian from getting back to his feet.
Kachikian trying to control here.
Kachikian wants to improve his position but Ziccardo is controlling well.
Ziccardo is trying to work for a kimura but Kachikian is defending well.
Kachikian is trying to stand.
Ziccardo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kachikian does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kachikian pushes Ziccardo off and gets back to his feet.
Gachik Kachikian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ziccardo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Ziccardo trying to control the action but Kachikian is working from the bottom.
Kachikian struggling a bit here.
Kachikian is not content to let Ziccardo control the position.
Ziccardo prevents Kachikian from escaping the position.
An elbow from Ziccardo crashes against the mat.
Ziccardo wants to control but Kachikian is keeping him busy.

Ziccardo advances to mount.
Ziccardo prevents Kachikian from getting the reversal.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ziccardo cracks Kachikian with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Kachikian in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Kachikian has left one of his arms exposed and Ziccardo doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Kachikian screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
