The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McSweedy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Abreu pinned against the cage. Abreu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Abreu dips to his left and cracks McSweedy with an uppercut!
Jab, jab by Abreu - just one landing.
McSweedy dodges the punch combination from Abreu.
McSweedy shoots in but Abreu avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Abreu lands a jab.
McSweedy is rocked!
McSweedy throws a right and a left that both miss.
Oh McSweedy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

El Loco Abreu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Abreu cracks McSweedy with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! McSweedy falls to his knees and Abreu doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
