Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mogul Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Payne will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Payne !
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Payne .
No luck for Payne with that takedown attempt.
Payne looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Khan is fending him off so far but Payne persists. Nope, Khan circles away and we're back to standing.
Mogul Khan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Payne .
Payne shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Khan but Khan pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Khan gets a takedown into half guard.

Khan escapes and gets back to his feet.

and Khan counters with a shoot takedown. Payne fights it but they end up in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Payne not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Khan prevents Payne from getting back to his feet.
Payne is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Payne can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Khan controls the pace.
Payne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Khan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Khan forces his way into half guard.
Payne looks gassed!
Khan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Payne knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Khan is working for a kimura but Payne is defending it quite comfortably.

Khan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Payne wants to improve his position but Khan is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Khan stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Payne defending well as Khan loads up on a big left hand.

Khan moves into range and clinches up with Payne .
Payne fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Khan wants the takedown. Payne is fighting it off but Khan persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Payne 's guard against the cage.
Khan won't allow Payne to sweep him here.
Khan's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Khan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Payne isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Khan stacks Payne on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Khan!
Khan passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Payne !
Khan moves to the back.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Khan sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Payne taps out!
