The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ghotha is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kaio's half guard.
Kaio on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Ghotha wants to take a breather but Kaio is having none of it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ghotha connects with a nice short shot to Kaio's temple.

Kaio is looking for a sweep. Ghotha is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ghotha is nestled in close to Kaio, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ghotha is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

It looks like Adilson Kaio has been cut.

Ghotha thows a huge punch but Kaio dodges it nicely.

Ghotha has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
