PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iron Tager (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Cowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tager might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to MOTOR HEAD. Anderson Cowell is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Iron Tager!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Cowell!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tager tries to clinch up.
Horrible takedown by Cowell or perhaps it was just good defense by Tager which made him look bad.
Tager is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cowell throws a leg kick but Tager sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Cowell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Cowell gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tager to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tager working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cowell's head.

Tager avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Cowell is looking for a triangle but Tager pushes his legs off easily.
Tager thows a big elbow that misses.
Tager works over Cowell with some ground and pound from guard.
Tager wants to pass the guard but Cowell is keeping the position.
Tager content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Tager got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cowell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tager has managed to get both his arms back between Cowell's legs - danger averted.

Tager stands up over Cowell, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Tager on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tager tries to get out of the position.

Tager wants to control but Cowell is having none of it.

Cowell looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tager goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Cowell rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Tager's guard! Nice work there by Cowell!

Iron Tager overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Cowell is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tager moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

I would just about give that final round to Anderson Cowell.
Well Tager has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
