Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rolo Pup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Chuck Wilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wilson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pup circles away quickly and effectively.
Wilson tries to close the distance and clinch but Pup swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wilson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Pup looks gassed!

The fight stays on the outside here - Wilson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Wilson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Pup tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wilson smiles and moves away.
Chuck Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rolo Pup.

Wilson tries to clinch up but Pup circles away and keeps his distance.
Wilson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pup moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pup's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Wilson is looking to clinch but Pup is avoiding it.
Wilson moves out of range of the leg kick from Pup.

Pup clinches with his opponent.
Pup is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wilson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Pup has hold of one of Wilson's legs. Wilson is fighting the takedown attempt but Pup gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Wilson wants to stand up but Pup is controlling him.

Pup is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Wilson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pup on the ground.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Pup decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Wilson, up you get!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Wilson throws a push kick but Pup slaps the foot to one side.
Pup on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

and Pup counters with a straight right hand.
Wilson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Pup. That did some damage!

and Pup counters with a good low kick that Wilson was not able to check.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Pup has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Wilson regains guard immediately.

Pup postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wilson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pup, into his guard.

Pup looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pup looking for a sweep. Not yet Pup, not yet.
Wilson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Pup's guard.

Pup looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Pup has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wilson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Wilson stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Pup takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Pup misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chuck Wilson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wilson clinches but Pup breaks the clinch

and Pup counters by clinching up.

Pup escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wilson throws a solid leg kick but Pup takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Wilson.

Wilson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Pup checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Wilson avoids the body shot from Pup.
Pup dodges the punch combination from Wilson.
Wilson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pup swinging wildly here.
Wilson wants to clinch but Pup slips to the side

and Pup counters with a single leg into guard. Wilson didn't expect that.

Pup drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wilson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pup has Wilson in his guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pup can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wilson controls the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rolo Pup showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Pup doesn't manage to clinch there - Wilson circles away.

Wilson misses with a series of wild punches.

and Pup counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wilson's guard now.

Pup drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wilson dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilson wants to stand but Pup is controlling his posture from full guard.

Wilson gets to his feet - Pup follows without any prompting.
Wilson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Pup shoots in for a double leg but Wilson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Pup counters with a head kick. That will keep Wilson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wilson wants to stand but Pup has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Pup is trying to stand up here but Wilson is controlling him well.

Wilson postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pup to stand up.
Wilson misses with a jab, cross combination.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pup fails with a takedown attempt.
Wilson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rolo Pup comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Pup has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
