We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
taller scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Holmes doesn't seem bothered though.

Holmes closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
taller tries to circle away but Holmes has him pinned against the cage.

Holmes breaks from the clinch.
taller moves out of range of the strikes.
taller thuds a left hand into Holmes's body.
taller throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
taller thows a body shot but no joy.
A telegraphed right hand from Holmes misses the target.
Holmes displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as taller throws out the jab.
Holmes with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Holmes shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Holmes misses with a series of wild punches.

Holmes scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Holmes takes a little break here. taller wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Holmes has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holmes cracks taller with a big right hand but taller just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
taller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Holmes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
