Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Silver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Murray!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Murray shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Silver bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Murray's guard.
Murray really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silver. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silver lands a couple of digs.
Silver missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Murray is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Silver drops back looking for a leg! Murray is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Murray manages to kick Silver off! Silver jumps back into Murray's guard.
Murray wants to sweep but no luck.
Silver is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Murray had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Silver defends it easily.
Silver wants to control from the top but Murray keeps moving.
Silver showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Murray throws a lazy right hand but Silver sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Silver closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Silver goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Murray rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Silver's guard! Nice work there by Murray!
Murray won't allow Silver to get back to his feet.
Silver keeping moving, preventing Murray from controlling successfully.
Murray should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Murray sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Silver is adopting a defensive guard.

Silver is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silver is breathing heavily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Murray preventing the sweep.
Murray trying to control the position from guard on top but Silver is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Silver is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Murray wants to control from the top but Silver keeps moving.
Silver is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Murray looking to pass the guard.
Silver is trying to keep Murray in close.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Silver scores with a takedown into Murray's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Silver dominated that round.

Silver scores with a jab. Murray acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Silver misses with a takedown attempt
and Murray counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Silver shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Silver showed some decent athleticism there.

Murray is trying to get back to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Murray is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Silver's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Silver's back!

Murray is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Silver is tapping out! This one is all over!
