Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone tries to close the distance and clinch but Datu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stone wants to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stone looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Stone gets caught flat footed, as Datu shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Stone is trying to keep Datu in close.
Datu content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Datu wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving.
Stone throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Datu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stone has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Datu has managed to get both his arms back between Stone's legs - danger averted.
Stone manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Datu manages to get himself to full guard.
Stone drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Datu manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Stone has Datu in his guard.

Datu working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Datu is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Stone's shoulder. That is not cool.
Datu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stone is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Datu looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Datu is looking to take a break and control but Stone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Datu slips a nice elbow through Stone's hands, connecting with Stone's forehead.
Stone is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Datu wants to work for an arm triangle but Stone is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Stone has a hand on Datu's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Datu takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Datu lands a big shot there that rocks Stone but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stone is wriggling around trying to escape.
Datu tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Jericho Datu overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Datu is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stone is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Stone is trying to escape the mount.
Stone is bucking up trying to escape but Datu cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Datu is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Stone can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Stone tries to improve his position but Datu has taken his back! Datu has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Stone tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Datu pushes Stone away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
