The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omni is looking to chop away at Redman's legs.
Omni throws a shot from downtown. Redman moves away and avoids it.
Redman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Omni sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Omni lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Redman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Omni as he jumps to the side.

Omni using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Redman has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Omni gets to his feet. Redman looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Omni throws a hook but Redman blocks it.
Omni throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Giuseppe Omni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Omni misses with a hook. Redman ducked under it nicely.
Redman shoots in but no luck this time.
Omni throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Redman sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Omni keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Redman shoots in looking for a takedown. Omni tries to sprawl out of it but Redman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Omni manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Redman shoots in looking for a takedown. Omni tries to sprawl out of it but Redman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Omni manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Omni scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A looping hook to the body misses from Omni. Redman does a little dance to reset his feet.
Omni throws a sloppy head kick and Redman moves out of range easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Redman shoots in for a takedown but Omni shows good takedown defense.

Redman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Omni.
Omni throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Redman steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Omni.
Omni looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Omni goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Giuseppe Omni is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Omni lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Redman on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Omni is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Redman can do to turn this around?
Omni throws a right hand that Redman ducks under and follows up with a left that Redman also avoids with ease.
Omni keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Redman shoots in but Omni avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Omni connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Omni scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Redman doesn't seem bothered though.

Omni throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

A big right from Omni misses.

Redman throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Omni was covering up waiting for the punch and Redman finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Redman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Redman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Redman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Redman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Omni has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Redman has managed to get both his arms back between Omni's legs - danger averted.

Redman is pushing down on Omni's leg trying to pass to half guard. Omni is fighting to maintain full guard but Redman has managed to sneak the leg through.

Redman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Redman is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Omni is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
