PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Waldo Boss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Waldo Boss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Anthony Taglia and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boss shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lewis pinned against the cage. Lewis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Boss counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Boss stands and throws Lewis's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Lewis trying his best to control but Boss has mounted him.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Lewis somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!

Boss gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lewis to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Boss looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Lewis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lewis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Boss is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Boss has a closed guard, preventing Lewis from standing up.

Boss working for a triangle but Lewis defends it easily.

Lewis has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Boss to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Lewis is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Boss pulls down on the head and he's put Lewis to sleep! This one is all over!
