The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
myers closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hammond circles away.
myers misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
bo myers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hammond tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but myers swivels and escapes.
myers tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hammond swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Hammond counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

myers trying to keep a closed guard but Hammond is proving a slippery customer.
Hammond drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hammond jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hammond got a little sloppy there for a moment and myers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hammond has managed to get both his arms back between myers's legs - danger averted.

Hammond drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but myers manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hammond has myers in his guard.

Hammond is pulling down on myers's head. It's preventing any offense from myers, at least for the moment.
myers wants to control from the top but Hammond keeps moving.
