The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dzikowski defending well as Perez loads up on a big left hand.
Perez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dzikowski pinned against the cage. Dzikowski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Dzikowski shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Dzikowski is looking to pass Perez's guard but actually Perez recovers to full guard.
Dzikowski passes Perez's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Dzikowski tries to pass to full mount but Perez defends it.
Dzikowski is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Perez is staying active underneath Dzikowski, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dzikowski stops Perez from getting back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Perez throws a right and a left that both miss.

Perez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Perez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Perez looks to land a combination but Dzikowski avoids it well.
