Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between matt johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slim Charles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). johnson comes to the cage accompanied by remember the name. matt johnson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Slim Charles's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Charles.
johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Charles moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Charles tries to clinch up.
Slim Charles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Charles lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Charles has closed the distance and engaged johnson in a clinch.

johnson tries to score a body lock takedown but Charles shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Charles chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Charles ducks down and throws a hook to the body but johnson moves away.

johnson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Charles but Charles pushes him off and we're back to square one.

johnson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Charles is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

johnson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Charles fights it off and pushes away nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Charles tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but johnson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
BOOM! Charles lands a beautiful left hook that drops johnson. johnson tries to recover but Charles is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and johnson lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
