Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Sayre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clarence Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sayre comes to the cage accompanied by A Country Boy Can Survive. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Teddy Sayre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Clarence Carter!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sayre moves away from the strike by Carter.
Carter digs a good hook to Sayre's body.
Sayre ducks under a wild hook from Carter.
A solid body kick from Sayre.
The fight stays on the outside here - Carter looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sayre cracks Carter with an open hand slap.
Carter checks a leg kick.
Left hook, right uppercut from Sayre.
Carter dodges the punch combination from Sayre.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sayre uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Carter.

Sayre uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Carter.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Sayre is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Carter tries to work over Sayre's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Sayre is trying to break the clinch but Carter has him pressed against the cage.
Sayre lands a nice uppercut.
Sayre wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Sayre is pressed up against the cage. Carter has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sayre down to the mat. Sayre avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Carter blocks a leg kick.
Carter swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Sayre misses with a wild combination.
Sayre misses with an attempted mid kick.
Carter is looking to clinch.
Sayre lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sayre.

Carter has a takedown stuffed.
A head kick from Sayre lands but Carter takes it in his stride.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sayre goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Carter throws an overhand right that lands on Sayre's shoulder, as Sayre tries to avoid the shot.
Sayre uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Carter.
Sayre circles away from the clinch attempt.
Carter tries to land a leg kick but Sayre saw it coming and moves away.
Sayre misses the jab.
Carter looks to score with a jab to the body but Sayre is just out of range.
Carter throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Carter throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sayre throws a lazy right hand but Carter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Carter lands a right hook to the body.
Sayre throws a series of punches but Carter moves out of range.
Sayre fails to land with a series of punches.
Sayre misses with a head kick.
Sayre feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Carter's calf.
The fighters circle momentarily. Sayre darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Clarence Carter will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Carter rushes Sayre and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sayre pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from Carter.

Sayre breaks from the clinch.
Carter tries to clinch up.
Teddy Sayre is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Carter blocks a jab.
Sayre tries a head kick but it misses.
Sayre throws a front kick aimed at Carter's knee but Carter avoids it well.
Sayre lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Carter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sayre paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sayre looks to score with a jab to the body but Carter is just out of range.
Carter takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Sayre throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sayre scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Sayre misses with a wild combination.
Carter shoots in for a takedown but Sayre shows good takedown defense.
Sayre will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Sayre throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sayre lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Carter fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sayre sprawls well initially but Carter persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Carter passes the guard and advances to mount!

Sayre tries to hold on but Carter pushes him away.

Carter throws a sloppy strike and Sayre uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Sayre has ended up in Carter's guard.
Carter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Sayre tries to reverse the position but Carter maintains control.
Sayre is working hard here to advance position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Carter is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sayre can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Clarence Carter has got the better of the ground game so far.

Carter has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sayre's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clarence Carter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Sayre keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Sayre scores with the left hand. Carter knows he should have avoided that one.
Carter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Teddy Sayre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sayre lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sayre rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Carter moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Carter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sayre as he avoids it easily.
Teddy Sayre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clarence Carter.
Sayre throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Carter.
Sayre goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Carter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Carter lands in his opponent's guard.
Carter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Clarence Carter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Carter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Sayre working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

And that's the end of the fight!
Clarence Carter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Carter winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
