The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
diaz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bisping pinned against the cage. Bisping gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bisping throws a front kick that sends diaz stumbling back into the ropes.
diaz moves out of range as Bisping throws a body kick.
Bisping throws a series of punches but diaz moves out of range.
Bisping lands with a hook. diaz tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
diaz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bisping sprawls well. Bisping wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. diaz gets slowly back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bisping winds up and cracks diaz with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Bisping rushes diaz and presses him up against the ropes.

Sam Bisping showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Bisping bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
diaz tries to buck Bisping off but Bisping is having none of it.

Bisping has an Americana. diaz didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Bisping is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bisping hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
