PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chad McLovin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Battery Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McLovin comes to the cage accompanied by "Gimme Some Lovin" by the Spencer Davis Group. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad McLovin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Battery Maximus!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus tries to clinch up but McLovin circles away and keeps his distance.
Maximus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McLovin misses with a double jab.
McLovin throws out a leg kick but Maximus moves out of range and McLovin only half commits.
McLovin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Maximus lands an elbow inside that McLovin shrugs off.
Maximus unloads a knee to the mid-section. McLovin lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
A nice glancing elbow lands by McLovin.
Maximus scores with a nice hook to the head.
Good body shot from Maximus.
McLovin wants to break free but Maximus has control.
McLovin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Maximus just stands there and leans against the cage.

Maximus digs a right hand into McLovin's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on McLovin's gas tank.
Maximus comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

It looks like Chad McLovin has been cut.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Maximus lands an elbow inside that McLovin shrugs off.
Maximus lands on the inside with an uppercut.

McLovin is rocked!
Maximus landing knees to the head.
Oh McLovin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Maximus stalling.
McLovin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Maximus gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
McLovin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Maximus just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chad McLovin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McLovin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Maximus is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Maximus lands an elbow just above McLovin 's eye.
McLovin is breathing heavily.
Maximus scores a nice knee to the body.
Maximus lands a big knee! That's hurt McLovin! Oh, he's all over the place! Maximus lands another knee that sends McLovin to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
