Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brent Ojo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Little (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brent Ojo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Little!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ojo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Little is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Little swinging wildly here.
Ojo misses with a combination

and Little counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Little decides to stand and escape the position.
Ojo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Little counters by clinching up.
Little wants to get back to striking at distance but Ojo won't allow it.
Little tries for a takedown but Ojo manages to get underhooks.
Little will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ojo up against the cage.

Little jumps guard and drags Ojo to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Ojo wants to control from the top but Little keeps moving.
Little pulls Ojo in close to prevent any damage.

Little wriggles free and stands up.
Little has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Little there as he acknowledges the shot.

Little drives through with a takedown into guard.
Little pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ojo is keeping the position for now.

Little postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ojo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Little, into his guard.

Little lands some strikes from the bottom.
Ojo stops Little from standing up.
Little being controlled here, momentarily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ojo fails with the takedown

and Little holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brent Ojo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Little ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Little no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Ojo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Little's guard.
Ojo is trying to control the action in half guard but Little is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Little has one foot on Ojo's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Little circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ojo clinches but Little breaks the clinch

and Little counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ojo's guard now.
Little pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ojo is keeping the position for now.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Little controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Little dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Little shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ojo defends it nicely.
Ojo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Little counters with a nice kick to the body.

Little gets the takedown into side control.
Little trying to control the action but Ojo is working from the bottom.
Little misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ojo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Little wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
You can see the frustration on Ojo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Little works to advance to full mount. Ojo defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
A nice elbow there by Little.
Little lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Ojo wants to hold on but Little pushes him away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Little controlling from mount.
Ojo tries to lock up and control but Little gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Little jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ojo is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ojo and Little has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Mike Little has got the better of the ground game so far.
Little content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Ojo can't do much from the bottom here.

Ojo is letting Little control him for a moment.
You can see the frustration on Ojo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ojo takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Little scores with punches from side control.
Little is putting a hurting on Ojo here, landing some big shots from side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ojo wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Little advances to full mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Little showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Little gets to his feet. Ojo looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Ojo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Little defends it nicely.

Little closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ojo did well to prevent Little getting side control.

Little is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Ojo throws a strike from the bottom but Little passes into side control!

Little stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Ojo tries to keep at a distance but Little has taken the fight into the clinch.

Little has Ojo pressed against the cage.
Ojo tries to work over Little's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Ojo has Little pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Little manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ojo misses with a takedown
and Little counters with a left and a right that stings Ojo.
Little throws a hook to the side of Ojo's head but Ojo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Ojo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ojo showed some decent athleticism there.
Little manages to get to full guard.
Little keeping moving, preventing Ojo from controlling successfully.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mike Little comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Little has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
