The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beret shoots in for a double leg but Ferreira sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Beret takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Beret closes the distance and clinches up with Ferreira, looking for a takedown. Beret pushes Ferreira against the cage but Ferreira circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Beret shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ferreira's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Beret is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Ferreira tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Beret has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ferreira is proving hard to escape from.
Beret wants to pass the guard but Ferreira is keeping the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ferreira is working an open guard so Beret takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Beret shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ferreira pinned against the cage. Ferreira gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ferreira works over Beret's head and body with a nice combination.

Beret shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Ferreira lands a left and a right that send Beret crashing to the mat, dazed. Ferreira thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Ferreira drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Beret right on the button. Beret goes down! Ferreira follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Ferreira gets the win via TKO!
