PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Macintosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Haye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Macintosh kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Degenerate. David Haye will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haye throws a right and a left that both miss.
Macintosh has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Macintosh tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Haye paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Macintosh shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Macintosh showed some decent athleticism there.
Macintosh wants to stand up but Haye manages to regain full guard.
Haye wants to stand but Macintosh is controlling the position.
Macintosh has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Macintosh postures up in Haye's guard and throws a big left but Haye blocks it.
Haye wants to stand and escape but Macintosh is having none of it.

Haye is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Macintosh has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Haye uses from the top position.

Haye decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Haye tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Macintosh smiles and moves away.

Macintosh shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Haye's guard.

Haye pushes Macintosh off and gets back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Haye lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Oh Macintosh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Haye throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Macintosh stumbling backwards into the cage! Macintosh bounces back off the cage towards Haye, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Haye lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Haye celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
