Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bill Garnier!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blanco throws a right and a left that both miss.
Garnier fails with the takedown.
Blanco fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Garnier manages to avoid it.
Blanco scores with a hook to the body. Garnier takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Blanco misses with a double jab.
No joy there for Blanco, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jab, jab by Blanco - just one landing.
Garnier keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Blanco throws the left hand but Garnier avoids the punch easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Blanco throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Garnier.
Blanco throws a right and a left that both miss.
A left and a right from Blanco both land. Nice combination.
Blanco throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Garnier shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Garnier showed some decent athleticism there.
Garnier prevents Blanco from improving his position.
Garnier passes to full mount!
Garnier controlling the pace for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Garnier has hold of Blanco's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Blanco manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Garnier jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Blanco manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Garnier controls the position.
Garnier landing a few strikes.

Blanco is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Garnier wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Blanco, who protects the arm well.
Blanco tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Blanco is breathing heavily.
Garnier remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Garnier thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Garnier happy to just control the position for now.

Blanco is not content to let Garnier control the position.
Garnier looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Garnier has hold of Blanco's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Blanco tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Garnier cranks the arm and Blanco screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Blanco, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
